FINA World Swimming Championships – Melbourne 2007
Brief:
- Provide
a bus service for all athletes, officials and media attending
the event over a 21 day period
- Provide a
courtesy car service to all VIP’s attending event, including
airport arrivals and departures
- Provide all
services within pre-determined budget
Solution:
Sourced and
negotiated with a car rental company and worked in partnership to
provide a seamless vehicle operation. Staff and drivers recruited
as necessary to service a 21 day operation, including facilities
such as a call centre, drivers break area and garaging of all
vehicles. Fleet consisted of 130 cars and 120 buses and coaches
with a workforce of around 300 personnel.
